A Bit About Me

Henry Scriven-Young is a senior at George Washington University (GWU) majoring in Political Communication and minoring in both Chinese and sustainability.

At School: 

Henry hosts his own radio show each week called !Uptime where he plays video game music and reports on video game news via the WRGW airwaves. In addition, Henry is the Vice President of the University Singers and the ranking member of GW Dining's Student Advisory Panel and Executive Board.

Outside of School:

Henry is a public servant, music lover, and actor. He loves spending time with his family, reading a good book, or just sitting outside enjoying the weather. Additionally, Henry has served as an elected official. He was the Precinct Captain of Wheatland Township's 21st Precinct (Located in Illinois).

● Researched prior donors and updated database to help Congressman Foster reach out to individuals for contributions and invite them to events

● Processed donations received by the campaign and assisted with money management

IDCCA Intern

Illinois Democratic County Chairs Association:

● Researched Illinois counties to help the IDCCA track successful voter efforts across Illinois

● Wrote and sent memos to keep the IDCCA informed and assist President Zahorik

● Planned and staffed fundraising events to raise money for the IDCCA
