Intern for Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski
Henry is extremely honored to have the opportunity to intern for Congresswoman Nikki Buzinski. Although the internship has not started yet, he is looking forward to working on Capitol Hill and assisting the Congresswoman.

Henry has already worked for numerous Democratic causes (such as in his prior internship with the Democratic National Committee) and hopes to apply all he has learned throughout this internship and beyond.

In his role as an intern with the DNC, Henry made a ballot measure tracker, edited presentations to assist my supervisor at training events, and did other tasks as assigned. It was the opportunity of a lifetime to be a member of this amazing team!

Henry's internship with Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski will start sometime in late August.

NRHH Member Of The Month Award
Last December, Henry was awarded NRHH's Member of the Month award. Henry is honored to have been recognized and vows to continue his hard work throughout the 2024 semester and beyond.
The Member of the Month award is a newly created award (only two, counting this one, have ever been awarded) that is given to a member of NRHH each month. Members of NRHH vote on who they think is deserving of the award, they vote (and write a short statement if they wish to do so), and the Executive Board then gives the award to the person with the most votes (and breaks any ties).
Henry was nominated for his hard work within committee, his volunteering hours, his exceptional work at the RLC conference, his 100% attendance record, and more. But for Henry, this award is more than just a framed piece of paper that showcases his good deeds. For him, this is a call to double down on NRHH and put more into the organization that has given him so much.
So, during 2024, Henry will be focusing much more of his efforts on NRHH. He is looking forward to volunteering, continuing his work in committee, and seeing what 2024 will bring for NRHH.

It was an honor for Henry to receive this award and he is extremely thankful to everyone who voted for him. Thank you.

RLC 2023 - NRHH Regional Leadership Conference Wrap Up

As previously mentioned, Henry had the opportunity to attend RLC 2023 thanks to the head of NRHH. At RLC, Henry presented an Educational Session titled "Bridging the Gap: Leaders on the Path to Success". The presentation can be viewed by clicking the link below.

RLC 2023 - Educational Session Presentation:
At the conference, there were a number of Educational Sessions created by delegates from universities across the Central Atlantic Region. These sessions had very few parameters. They only needed to relate to the theme (which was, at a basic level, leadership) and last between 45 and 50 minutes. This allowed delegates the opportunity to present a variety of topics at the conference. As for the presenters themselves, nobody was excluded. Professional staff, advisors, and students all had the opportunity to create a presentation for the conference.

After each presentation (of which there was only one opportunity for everyone to present) the attending delegates voted on whether they thought the Educational Session should be considered for the top 5 and then graded the session on a variety of factors. And, as is always the case, the regional level provided a higher bar and presented a bigger challenge for those trying to make it into the Top 5 (smaller audience size, top five regionally versus top ten nationally, stricter judging, etc.). That, among many other reasons, is why Henry was honored to have his Education Session recognized as a Top 5 Session.

Furthermore, Henry earned an additional award at RLC. Henry was also recognized as a Distinguished Delegate for his service and commitment to both the conference and the chapter of NRHH of which he is a part. Henry was honored to receive this award and frequently wears the pin (the copper paw print).

It was the honor of a lifetime to receive these recognitions and awards. Thank you to everyone who attended my Educational Session and to those who took the time to grade me honestly. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who provided me with the opportunity to attend NACURH (NRHH, GW, etc.) and present my Educational Session. I am already looking forward to the next RLC conference in 2024.

RLC 2023 - NRHH Regional Leadership Conference
I am incredibly proud to announce that in just two short days, I will be in Cincinnati, Ohio, representing GWU at the yearly Regional Leadership Conference (RLC). This conference is similar to the NACURH conference I attended over the summer, but RLC 2023 is only for the Central Atlantic region of the United States.

As a delegate for NRHH, I was allowed to present an educational session (similar to the kind presented at NACURH 2023). After much work, I feel that my presentation is now ready for RLC. I am still putting some finishing touches on the presentation and will upload it here as soon as it is complete.
Additionally, I was allowed to create the Roll Call Video for the GWU delegates. Take a look below at the video that I directed, filmed, and edited!
A special thank you to the heads of NRHH for choosing me to represent GWU. I promise to spend my time at RLC making connections, having fun, and acquiring GWU some more hardware.
See you in Ohio!
The Electus Society

I am honored to announce that I was recently inducted into the Electus Society. this is an honors society with the mission of creating the next generation of active, motivated, and engaged leaders.

Electus Society is a free, membership-only, executive leadership organization. It is only eligible for individuals who once served as an elected leader of a club/organization in a college or university, a student government officer/senator in a college or university, or worked as a professional serving in some leadership capacity. As of June 2023, Electus has 300+ members who have attended over 140 different colleges and universities across the country.
Currently, Henry is on level 1 where he is learning about high-performance communication, believing in the impossible, and mastering success habits (among many, many other things).
Henry is honored to be a part of the society and is looking forward to all of the knowledge and skills that he will learn.
Stay tuned to check out Henry's progression within the program and learn about all he is doing within the Electus Society.
This year, Henry had the opportunity to move in early and be a Peer Guide for the LEAD GW pre-orientation program.

LEAD GW is a program for incoming first-year undergraduate students. The program empowers students to learn more about themselves, socially responsible leadership, and their new home here at GW. It helps students connect with classmates, discover campus resources, and help ease the transition to college life.
"Leadership Exploration And Development" GW helps first-year students start their leadership journey at GW. Participants attended presentations and workshops, engaged in small group activities, and explored D.C. with their new classmates. Incoming students were paired with upper-class guides (that was me!) who provided personal insights into life at GW and living in D.C.
Henry was thrilled to be involved with the program because of the positive experience he had in LEAD during his freshman year. As a freshman, Henry made friendships and learned about all GW has to offer. He was excited to bring those same experiences to the incoming freshmen students and help them transition into their new lives as college students.
Thank you to all of the participants who were a part of the program. To everyone in my small group (Pink Team!!), thank you for an amazing two days. Good luck on your college journey, I know you will all do amazing things!
LEAD GW!

Intern for Congressman Bill Foster

Henry was extremely honored to have the opportunity to intern for Congressman Bill Foster again this past summer.

He was extremely grateful to Deputy Finance Director Claire Warshauer and Campaign Manager Alex Salisbury for allowing him to return and for all of the valuable skills that they taught him in such a short amount of time.
Henry served as the only campaign-side intern this past summer. He once again worked as a finance intern under the incredible leadership of Team Foster.
Henry had the opportunity to intern with Congressman Foster's office last year as a finance intern and it was an incredible experience that drew him back to the Congressman's Naperville office this past summer.
In his role as a finance intern, Henry primarily cleaned up donor NGP profiles to assist Congressman Foster during his calltime sessions.
Henry was thrilled to once again be a member of Team Foster!
Henry was honored to have been selected as a Summer Intern for the IDCCA this past summer. Henry was working alongside Executive Director Dan Kovats and President Kristina Zahorik to support the IDCCA throughout the summer.

Here is a little blurb about the organization: "The Illinois Democratic County Chairs' Association (IDCCA) is a statewide organization formed over 50 years ago to support the political agenda of our Party through grassroots organizing, party building, and helping elect Democrats using the County Party structure. Every Democrat, everywhere counts. Membership is comprised of Illinois Democratic County Chairs' from all 102 Illinois counties. The IDCCA's mission is to build a dynamic and sustainable Democratic partnership resource organization for Illinois Democratic County Parties, to support the political agenda of the Democratic Party, to grow the Party, and to elect Democrats at every level including county, statewide, and national. Resources include training and best practices guidance to all 102 Illinois Democratic County Parties and their members."
During his time as an intern, Henry wrote memos for the staff at the IDCCA, researched various Illinois counties, used NGP to find prospective donors, staffed the Summer Brews fundraiser, and much more!
Most notably, Henry staffed the 5th Annual IDCCA Summer Brews event, featuring (among many others) special guest Mayor of Chicago Brandon Johnson. Henry was honored to speak with him! Henry was proud to support the IDCCA at the event by selling t-shirts, checking in guests, and assisting Executive Director Dan Kovats with anything else he needed throughout the evening.
It was the honor of a lifetime to be involved with the IDCCA as an intern. I learned many valuable skills that I know will benefit me as I go throughout the rest of my life. Thank you to the IDCCA staff, especially to Dan, for all of the opportunities they gave me. I am looking forward to attending a future Summer Brews or County Chairs' Brunch to support this amazing organization!
Interning For The IDCCA (Illinois Democratic County Chairs’ Association)

IDCCA's 5th Annual Summer Brews

As an IDCCA Intern, Henry had the pleasure of staffing this year's Summer Brews event (held at the beautiful Eris Brewery & Cider House). It featured special guests Mayor of Chicago Brandon Johnson and Congresswoman Lauren Underwood. Not only was it a great chance for Henry to figure out what it means to staff an event, but it also allowed Henry to reconnect with some of his friends and network.

At the event, Henry staffed the merchandise table where he (and his fellow intern, Francisco ) sold shirts and raffle tickets. Henry worked the check-in with a member of the IDCCA Staff. Henry assisted Executive Director Dan Kovats with crowd control and the speaker program. And Henry helped with both setup and clean up of the event.
Weeks of planning went into this event and Henry was thrilled with the outcome. It was a fantastic event that gave Henry the opportunity of a lifetime and helped him pick up valuable staffing skills he will carry with him for the rest of his political career.
Henry was honored to be a part of the 5th Annual Summer Brews and hopes to one day attend this incredible event as a member of the Host Committee.
NRHH + NACURH + CAACURH + The Capital Chapter
On the 14th of this month, Henry was officially inducted (you can find pictures attached below) as a member of NRHH, NACURH, and CAACURH (Which has The Capital Chapter included within it).
First things first, what do all of these letters mean? NRHH is the National Residence Hall Honorary, NACURH is the National Association of College and University Residence Halls, CAACURH is our regional section (Central Atlantic Association of College and University Residence Halls) and The Capital Chapter is GW's chapter of NRHH.
NRHH is "the premiere honorary... organization advocating for the interests and welfare of residence hall students, while also providing opportunities for their personal growth and development". NRHH's founding lies in internationally known service and recognition, so be on the lookout for more coming from Henry and his involvement in these organizations.
He is looking forward to a productive year of service and recognition!

A Decisive Victory

Henry was extremely proud to be an intern for Congressman Bill Foster during this most recent campaign cycle.
With his prior experience interning with Councilman Krummen and as a volunteer for Campaign Summer Camp, Henry was more than prepared for the internship.

Currently, the results are in and Henry feels confident in saying this was a decisive victory for Congressman Bill Foster! Henry served as a finance intern for a majority of the cycle (Special thanks to Josh and David who helped him learn many valuable skills) and worked on the Field Team during the final days of the campaign where he made calls to voters encouraging them to vote for the Congressman.

Henry was honored to be working on Team Foster!
With the internship now officially over, it is time for Henry to begin a new chapter in his political journey. But no matter where that journey leads him, it will be thanks to the incredible start Henry got as an intern for Congressman Bill Foster.
